Originally a collector of 19th and 20th century British art pottery since around 1980, I, Neville Pundole began dealing initially to further my collecting passion. Dealing initially from my home in Norfolk then moving to Canterbury in 1996 where I had studied as a younger but not wiser young man (I remember the first book I boughtfrom my academic grant was Kent Pubs!)

My Gallery near Canterbury's Marlowe theatre ran successfully for many years but in need of a challenge and to open a second gallery I looked at Margate and the proposed Turner Centre, I quickly moved on to Folkestone and became entranced by the wonderful gallery space at the end of Tontine Street but my economic common sense prevailed, the Wedge is now used as office space. The charms that Folkestone offered were too much to resist, I sold the gallery in Canterbury after ten years and have moved to this delightful town. A century ago Folkestone was one of the most elegant seaside towns in the country made famous by Edward VII.

My gallery is now situated in The Old High Street, a quaint, narrow, cobbled street winding down to the harbour (from where passengers on the famous Orient Express would disembark from the first leg of their journey). Part of a regeneration area, it is gradually filling with interesting galleries, boutiques, unusual gift shops, artists, studios and cafes.
